Episode 10: Red Drank

Sunday Oct 07, 2012
A decade of decadence! Well ten silly episodes anyway. Books, Beer and Bullshit is proud to present our tenth offering... In our book section we switch it up and present to you our Top Ten Favorite Books of All Time. It is an interesting, sometimes revealing peek into our reading souls. Will there be the standard fare? Will there be some surprises? Will you want to throw a brick at your iPod? Only one way to find out. In beer we return to the "Tour" tasting. This one we have dubbed the 4-G tasting. Four "high-gravity" brews await our sophisticated taste buds. Two are straight up brews. Two are the new fad energy beers. All are priceless (or at least 2.50). None will survive the bottle wrench! We take a few minutes to bullshit about the past, present and future. This episode represents a shift in the way we do things. There is no major format change but we are going to be trying out a lot of new things from here on out also. Evolve or die bitches! So thanks for joining us a tenth time Constant Listener and enjoy the show!

Episode 9: The Great Syphilis Outbreak of 2012
Tuesday Sep 11, 2012
Tuesday Sep 11, 2012
Books, Beer and Bullshit checking back in! We are going the whole nine yards with Episode 9! We return to our roots (in a manner of speaking) by reviewing Jeff Burk's CRIPPLE WOLF. Mr. Burk is not only a writer but the head editor of Deadite Press which publishes the great Brian Keene's work. The fans of Deadite were very supportive of the show early on so it's time to give all the dark crazies some love once again. A difference of opinion exists on this book but it's amazing what happens when a book creates dialogue. This is why we read! In Beer we bring to you yet another uniquely vile brew. This time it's the mysterious Rogue Voodoo Doughnut Maple Bacon Ale. How's that sound to you? Yeah well, your problably right. This concoction comes in a big pink bottle that makes it very distinct among the other brews on the shelves. You "Manify" it by taking the very manly Bottle Wrench to it. A light BS session this episode. We gripe about people shoving their phones in your face. We try to start a new dance troupe. What episode would be complete without a little news about Draven Star, could she have possibly shut down an entire industry (doubtful but hey you never know)? After you get through this show the big 10th Episode will be on it's way. Something to get excited for!

At last! The cursed episode of Books, Beer and Bullshit rears it's ugly head. We review EJ Copperman's NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEED. A ghostly mystery set on the Jersey shore. We are keeping it local while exploring a new genre. We also reveal EJ Copperman to also be Jeff Cohen (or is it Jeff Cohen thats being EJ Copperman). Either way one of them maybe Batman. Then we have a special dual beer tasting. Really it's just a front for our new sponsor, The Bottle Wrench™, the only bottle opener you will ever need. Order one for yourself today and recieve 15% off exclusivly from Books, Beer and Bullshit podcast. Open your beer with the same high quality bottle opener the boys from BB&BS use. Enter promo code BBBSSHOW when you order. We soured our palletes on a French Canadian brew. You get a bonus second tasting with the first caned beer we've tried on the show, Surly Hell. Finally we give a newsworty BS session. Lots to discuss about Draven Star, unofficial porn star of the podcast. We even opened our phone lines and got a caller! Please excuse the mess there is lots of stitched together audio. In the end it should all be worthy of the crap you've come to love from BB&BS! Strap in and sit back and listen to the love. It's time once again for Books, Beer and Bullshit!

Books, Beer and Bulls hit has returned to infect your ears! This episode we talk to writer/publisher Todd "TW" Brown. Todd is releasing the fourth book in his ZOMBLOG series so we read and discussed the first book in the series with him. Todd gives an exellent interview talking all the good and not so good points of ZOMBLOG with us. Then we dig a bit deeper into his life as an indie publisher. What a story, from the lows to the highs, Todd gives the straight poop. Then we touch on some other projects May December Publications has coming on the horizon, exciting creepy stuff is on the way. The most important thing is all the FREE stuff Todd and May December is dishing out including this puppy: The Gruesome Tale of Garrett and Kirsten from Smashwords. We hope you love listening to this interview as much as we enjoyed conducting it. Then is time to get out your French dictionaries. We take on Herb Beer. No not a guy name Herb Beer but Dogfish Head Brewery's Saison Du Buff. It's a beer brewed with several kinds of herbs. This is actually a three brewery effort. Will the meeting of the greatest minds in craft brews overcome this hateful pallette of the Books, Beer and Bullshit two-man wrecking crew? Gotta listen to find out! The Bullshit is short and sweet this time. Still recovering from the Chelada episode we can only muster enough energy to talk about poop. But when we talk poop, people listen... So get ready for another Zombie Apocalypse becuase it's time once again for Books, Beer and Bullshit!

Episode 6: Don't Chelada Me Bro
Monday Jul 16, 2012
Monday Jul 16, 2012
Books, Beer and Bullshit Podcast presents THE WORST BEER EVER! But first we go back in time and review Sci-Fi/Fantasy writer John Dechancie's STARRIGGER, his very first published work from nearly 30 years ago. It's a retro read folks so whip out the spandex and tease up the hair. Will it stand the test of time or will the big rig jackknife? To keep everything in perspective we even take a walk down memory lane, 1983 style! Incidentally, you can purchase STARRIGGER and any other of Dechancie's work on Diesel Ebooks for considerably cheaper then the big boys. Then it's time for the grand daddy of all beer tastings. The Budweiser Chelada. We are talking Budweiser mixed with Clamato, salt and lime. Need we tell you how that's going to turn out? Didn't think so! A word of warning, you may want to have a suitable receptacle ready... just in case. Suffice to say this one will go down as the mutha of all the beer tastings. Finally we open up the Books, Beer and Bullshit phone lines for the first time. And we even get a phone call (sort of!) In between answering calls from our rabid listeners we talk about the elusiveness of Sweedish beer, the future of podcasting and douche. You may even laugh if your a sicko! Get your rally caps on because it's finally time for Episode 6 of Books, Beer and Bullshit!

A very special episode of Books, Beer and Bullshit awaits! We interview zombie/horror writer Armand Rosamilia. Armand is currently living in Florida but he is a Jersey Boy at heart so we get along just fine. We talk about his zombie series DYING DAYS, his realistic characters and his career as a writer. Armand is not one to leave out a single detail so get a pen and take notes! We all know after good books comes beer of questionable character. This time we put Rogue's Chipotle Ale to the test. Will this smoked jalapeno beer make us spit fire? If not we may need to take matters in to our own hands! After the beer tasting it's time to sit back and muse. We start out by creating a new social media web site in the interest of being the full on social media whores we are. Then we dream of one day opening our own brick and mortar store. Once the Rogue Ale starts to settle in our blood stream we begin to engage in existencial stream of conscience BSing. Hilarity ensues. Breath through your mouth and out through your nose because it's time for another round of Books, Beer and Bullshit! Make sure you BUY Armand Rosamilia today! Available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Smashwords. Great reads at great prices!

Welcome everyone to the happiest podcast on earth! Strap on your generic mouse ears or your beer helmets and get ready to ride the wildest ride in the audioverse because it's time for another episode of Books, Beer and Bullshit! This time we mix things up because we can becuase it's our podcast so nyah! The beer tasting comes on first and boy is it a doozy as we test the Ass Kisser Smoked Porter. Be sure to listen to our review before deciding to give this to your boss for some butt smooching action. We try to clear our palette after that with our most intensive book review yet, Leonard Kinsey's OUR KINGDOM OF DUST provides not only the book but much of the bullshit. Oh boy do we bullshit! We touch on Kinsey's little alt-Disney empire he has built for himself including a travel guide and amazing YouTube Channel. What kind of Kinsey banter would be complete without talking about the alluring Draven Star who graces the covers of Kinsey's books. There's also a bit about shady writers. Some pimping for our new partner Stitcher Radio. And a bit o' brainstorming and day dreaming. All in all a wonderous and magical episode. So put the kiddies to bed and get ready to get your naughty on 'cuz this ain't your grandma's Disney talk, it's Walt Disney World Books, Beer and Bullshit style!

It's insanity time folks! Books, Beer and Bullshit serves up another round of good reading, bad beer and unhinged banter.
We start out with our book review of A. Lee Martinez's EMPEROR MOLLUSK AND THE SINISTER BRAIN. An examination of the mind of a megalomaniac with a heart of gold. Then we drink 80's style in our Tour de Forty beer tasting. Put the straight razors away before you start listening, we wouldn't want anyone getting hurt. We round it all out with crapola about audio books, vaccuum cleaner salesmen and of course... poop.
Strap in and sit back. Vomit bags are located in the front seat pocket cuz it's time for Episode 3: White Men Can't Drink. Give us stars below and join the conversation on Facebook when your done. Thanks Constant Listener!
